Divido Terms of Use
Divido is a shared-expense ledger. It helps groups record expenses, calculate balances, and track settlements. Divido is not a bank, wallet, escrow service, lender, or money transmitter, and it does not hold, move, guarantee, or recover money for you.
1. Acceptance
By installing, accessing, or using Divido, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Divido.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to use Divido in your country and to enter into these Terms. Divido is not directed to children.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your account secure, and for activity that occurs through your account. Authentication is provided through Firebase Authentication and supported sign-in providers.
4. Shared ledgers and user content
You are responsible for the expenses, comments, receipts, names, images, settlement records, and other content you add or invite others to add. You must have the right to upload or share that content and must not use Divido for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing activity.
5. Calculations and settlements
Divido provides tools for recording expenses and calculating balances. You and your group are responsible for reviewing the entries, resolving disagreements, and deciding how to settle. External payment links, when available, open third-party services that are not controlled by Divido.
6. No financial advice or payment custody
Divido does not provide financial, tax, legal, accounting, lending, banking, money-transfer, escrow, or debt-collection services. Ledger entries are records created by users and should be checked by the people involved.
7. Subscriptions, purchases, and ads
Divido may offer optional paid features, subscriptions, group passes, trials, or rewarded ads. Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or supported providers such as RevenueCat. You manage cancellations, refunds, and payment methods through the applicable store, subject to store policies.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not submit false, misleading, abusive, or unlawful content.
- Do not attempt to access another person's account or private group without permission.
- Do not reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, scrape, or abuse the service.
- Do not upload malware, secrets that do not belong to you, or content that violates another person's rights.
9. Intellectual property
Divido, including its app, design, software, text, and branding, is owned by its publisher or licensors. You keep rights to content you add, but you grant Divido the limited rights needed to host, process, display, sync, back up, and support that content for the service.
10. Account deletion and termination
You may delete your account from inside the app or follow the instructions at Account Deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or use the service unlawfully.
11. Disclaimers
Divido is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free calculations.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Divido and its publisher are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; user disputes; or failed external payments.
13. App-store terms
If you downloaded Divido from Apple or Google, the applicable app-store terms also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Divido except as required by their own policies.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.
